originally from Edmonton AB, graduated from Canada’s “Fame School" - Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts, where she focused on contemporary dance and choreography. After graduation and a training stint in New York, she danced professionally, shipboard, for both Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises, and on land in Los Angeles and Italy. She works as a freelance choreographer and dance instructor in several disciplines including: contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, hip hop, PCD, and lyrical. Aside from dance, Kirby is active in the acting community. She has acted in over 25 stage productions, and 20 films. She is currently a co-artistic director of Foulplay Productions Society and continues to keep busy teaching, choreographing and performing.

These little dancers will have an opportunity to develop their co-ordination and motion skills while being creative in an interactive and self-expressive group atmosphere. Rhythm, movement, music & fun will be the emphasis! Your child must be 3 years of age when program begins. Classes are taught by Debbie Lee and teachers from DNC Dance Nouveau Co.'s signature teaching curriculum. Debbie Lee and her instructors are all qualified professional instructors that have been teaching recreational and professional students for over 25+ years across Canada, US and Internationally. One of the board directors for The Vancouver Dance Centre Society, The Scotiabank Dance Centre and formerly the School Director of the renowned professional dance company, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Company of Aspen Colorado is the Founder and Director of DNC Dance Nouveau Co. and will be teaching children dance and ballet programs here in the Kitsilano Community.
For over 30 years Debbie Lee has been committed as a performer, instructor, choreographer and director for many organizations across Canada, United States and abroad. She was the founder of Richmond Hill Academy of Dance, Ontario; Uxbridge Academy of Dance, Ontario, DD Dance Productions, Ontario and BC Coastal Arts in Motion, British Columbia.
She has worked with many renowned dance artists, movement practitioners, health and sport therapists, directors, choreographers and musicians that have influenced her as an artist and arts educator. She has created many unique original classical and contemporary works plus full-length productions for many organizations and companies. She is a highly trained educator that is very encouraging and supportive teacher who puts much emphasis on health and safety while still challenging students to meet their own potential and surpass their own expectations.
Although Debbie Lee is recognized for the development of the unique DNC's training curriculum in classical ballet, she has also taught in many classical ballet forms of set syllabus such as Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova techniques. DNC's dance curriculum is drawn from many different disciplines of all forms of movement such as classical ballet, contemporary dance, Pilates and movement techniques. The curriculum broadens dancers and athletes to higher levels of understanding of technical and creative development while encouraging and guiding them to find their own creative voice. This style has proven to help dancers and students at all levels of development. Debbie Lee's strengths and experience that she holds as a mentor has given her classes and programs a unique approach to teach clean and pure technique with lyrical qualities in a warm, fun and energetic atmosphere. Dancers and athletes from all forms are able to accomplish a strong base and understanding of technical development when training with Debbie Lee and DNC's faculty. They are committed to facilitate high artistic educational standards and programs that will enrich and inspire new generation of creative thinkers and artists.
