Age: Adult (18-99) Instructor: Services of Van Family (open/max.): 25/25
As with any big change in life circumstances, the beginning of building a great retirement is to acknowledge and understand the changes which are inevitable. Some you can control or manage and some you can only adjust to. The central factors are: Are you moving from your current living location? What relationships will diminish or increase? How will you use your time now (will you continue to do some part-time work)? What structure will your daily life assume? How will your resources change? What purposes will your life take on? Who will you be now? The group will tackle these questions and present alternatives and options to help each participant choose their own path to an ideal state of retirement. Susan Silver, BSc, MSc (Clinical Psychology) has been working with groups and families for 30 Years. She has extensive experience leading adult education/counselling groups on a wide variety of topics, including assertiveness, what to do with the rest of my life, parenting challenging teens, communication skills and immigrant/refugee issues. Susan's approach is family centered and focuses on strengths and positive possibilities. She retired from full time work more than five years ago.
