For over 30 years Debbie Lee has been committed as a performer, instructor, choreographer and director for many organizations across Canada, United States and abroad. She was the founder of Richmond Hill Academy of Dance, Ontario; Uxbridge Academy of Dance, Ontario, DD Dance Productions, Ontario and BC Coastal Arts in Motion, British Columbia.
She has worked with many renowned dance artists, movement practitioners, health and sport therapists, directors, choreographers and musicians that have influenced her as an artist and arts educator. She has created many unique original classical and contemporary works plus full-length productions for many organizations and companies. She is a highly trained educator that is very encouraging and supportive teacher who puts much emphasis on health and safety while still challenging students to meet their own potential and surpass their own expectations.
Although Debbie Lee is recognized for the development of the unique DNC's training curriculum in classical ballet, she has also taught in many classical ballet forms of set syllabus such as Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova techniques. | Part 1 - A progression from Ballet Level I program. This encouraging and challenging progressive ballet class will introduce the true training of the preliminary basics of ballet technique. It will not only develop the eager student's athleticism but also their appreciation for the art of classical ballet. Emphasis of safe correct body alignment, development of physical strength and flexibility will be progressed throughout the session. The student will learn classical ballet terminology and technique through strengthening exercises, safe stretching, centre floor movement and combinations with arm movements (port de bras) and jumps (allegro work). | The focus of this class is on the basics of modern dance technique, improvisation and composition. Each week the dancers will learn technical skills and participate in creative dance explorations leading towards a group dance composition. Dancers will be challenged to grow in physical and artistic ways as well as grow in cognitive, social and emotional ways while engaging in creative problem solving. Parents are invited to watch the last day of class. Lorraine has over 25 years teaching experience and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Arts Education. Please Note: Children must be at least 6 years old. Children must be able to attend unaccompanied by an adult. |

Here is the place to shine...join us as we move and groove, exploring the locking stops, and the suspended drops that make the hip hop style so popular and fly. Working as a group and in small groups, we will create and shape a dance that is performed in a "cypher" in classic b-boy/b-girl supportive circle of peers, where each person gets to dance their unique style and be cheered on with gusto! |

originally from Edmonton AB, graduated from Canada’s “Fame School" - Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts, where she focused on contemporary dance and choreography. After graduation and a training stint in New York, she danced professionally, shipboard, for both Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises, and on land in Los Angeles and Italy. She works as a freelance choreographer and dance instructor in several disciplines including: contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, hip hop, PCD, and lyrical. Aside from dance, Kirby is active in the acting community. She has acted in over 25 stage productions, and 20 films. She is currently a co-artistic director of Foulplay Productions Society and continues to keep busy teaching, choreographing and performing.

| Part 1 - Get ready to move and explore the fusion of jazz and ballet! Keeping the connection of the history of jazz dance, the students will have the opportunity to learn a few basic ballet movements so they are able to safely execute contemporary movements of jazz techniques with ease. It will allow the students to experience more upbeat tempo and groove to the different music qualities filled with energy, athleticism and fun. The class will consist of strengthing exercises, stretching, developing co-ordination and vocabulary of jumps and leaps. The students will have an opportunity to develop a progressive combination of steps and a mini routine by the end of the season.
