| Qi is a fundamental concept in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Where there is a stagnation or blockage in the flow of qi, or an imbalance in the positive or negative energy levels, ill health or pain results. There are different methods used to enhance this flow of qi. While acupuncture employs needles to stimulate this, qi flow and tui-na (Chinese massage) moves the qi along the qi meridians (channels). Qi gong usually uses soft, gentle and flowing movements to get the qi moving. The classes in this program are orientated to those experiencing pain and chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, tension headaches and other similar conditions. The movements are soft and gentle and the classes are open to adults of all age groups.
Free trial class Monday, March 1st! Please pre-register.
Hong Lau has taught qi gong in Canada, the United States and Asia to those experiencing chronic pain for the past 15 years. He also does external qi (qi projection) work. Sorry, no drop ins. |
