Janet draws her desire to paint from a close communion with Nature. Bringing a gifted and sensitive view to her paintings, she absorbs Nature's changing moods and releases them back into her paintings. Janet was trained in the heart of Toronto's art world. Her strong sense of design has evolved through completion of programs at various workshops and institutions. She has also studied with internationally acclaimed artist, lecturer and author, Doris McCarthy, whose works are known worldwide, and who herself studied with the Group of Seven. A Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolor Society, Janet's paintings have been shown in many group and solo exhibitions. Her awards for watercolor paintings include Juror's Choice awards.
